Partial Demolition of an Existing Structure, Structural Alterations and Fit Out of a New Gym

The scope of work for this new gym construction in Sallynoggin included the partial demolition of the existing structure, comprehensive structural alterations and fit-out of a 1870sqm gym in Sallynoggin, Dublin. The project involved the fabrication and installation of a structural steel mezzanine floor, approximate area 270sqm to house the changing rooms and shower facilities. An extension was constructed to facilitate the new plant room. A series of studios were constructed with soundproofing and noise reduction , complete with acoustic walls to meet the client’s requirements.

Lovebuild Construction Specialists liaised closely with a number of consultants from the design team to satisfy the requirements regarding fire safety and disability access for the project. The gym floor areas were fitted out with an array of impact flooring and astroturf areas. A bespoke air-conditioning and ventilation system was designed and installed in the gym. A complete electrical package comprising of lighting, fire alarm, audiovisual system and CCTV was designed to the client’s specific requirements and installed. A new steel staircase was also designed, fabricated and installed.
